What is an ATS?
An ATS (Applicant Tracking System) is the software companies use to collect and review applications, such as Workday, Greenhouse or Lever. It reads the text of your resume, splits it into sections and lets recruiters search candidates by keyword. A resume an ATS can't read properly often never reaches a recruiter.

What is a good ATS score?
Above 60 your resume is in good shape, above 80 it's ready to send. Below 36 it's worth rebuilding before your next application.
Do you check the PDF layout, columns and photo too?
The free check reads the text of your resume. The layout of the file itself (columns, photo, tables, a scan instead of text) is checked when you upload your resume to a free account, because that needs the whole file.
Why can I check only 3 resumes a day?
Every check is an analysis by an AI model, and the free checker works without logging in. The limit protects it from abuse. With a free account you can check resumes without it.
Will I get the same score if I check again?
Yes. Most of the score comes from fixed rules, and the same text checked again within 24 hours gets exactly the same result.
