How we count

Methodology: how we count the numbers

This page explains where the offers in Apply4Me's job index come from and how the figures on the listing pages, in the job market report and on the home page are produced.

How do we count job offers?

An offer counts while it is active: the board has not taken it down and its deadline has not passed. An ad posted on several boards counts once (same title, same employer).

The occupation is matched on words in the ad title, the city on the location in the ad. An ad with several locations counts in each of those cities, and an ad matching two occupations counts in both, so totals of different pages can overlap.

Offers with auto-apply are offers Apply4Me can apply to on its own, after you approve. For the rest you apply on the employer's site.

How do we compute salary medians and quartiles?

We use only ads that state a salary, and take the lower end of the range converted to PLN a month, so the medians are conservative. Amounts outside 2,000 to 100,000 PLN a month are dropped (usually a data entry error).

The median is the amount half of those ads pay less than. The p25 quartile is what a quarter of the ads pay or less, p75 what three quarters pay or less. The median and quartiles are shown only where at least 10 ads state a salary.

In Poland an amount on an employment contract is usually gross, and on a B2B contract usually the net invoice rate. Ads rarely let us separate the two, so a median is labelled "gross on an employment contract, net invoice rate on B2B". On the German listing pages amounts are euro gross a year.

When is the data refreshed?

Offer counts, medians and quartiles on the listing pages are recomputed every day (for Poland at 03:30 UTC) by a view in Apply4Me's database. Every page shows the date of its data.

The job market report is a snapshot of the same data on the date the report gives. Its data can be downloaded as a CSV file under CC BY 4.0.

The source list on this page is a snapshot of 25 October 2026. We refresh it every month.

Where do 100,000+, 3× and 11 hours come from?

100,000+ users are the accounts created across all Apply4Me apps together: the web app, iOS and Android.

“3× more interviews” and “11 hours a week” come from the data of the same apps, counted together for web, iOS and Android: the first describes how many interview invitations users who apply with Apply4Me report, the second how much time job searching and preparing applications takes each week without it.

These are our users' results, not a scientific study or a guarantee: yours depend on your field, your city and how many jobs you apply to.
